Position Summary: This role involves acting as an Open-Rank Professor and Program Director of the MS in Speech-Language Pathology. The individual will facilitate learning, partake in scholarship, service, or any combination of those activities. The Program Director is critical for the successful operation of the University, overseeing academic planning, faculty recruitment, retention, development, budget management, and ensuring the quality of the student's academic experience. This inaugural position represents an opportunity to shape program philosophy, curriculum, and faculty composition. This is a 12-month remote position that requires travel to our campus locations to oversee and provide instruction during on-ground residencies. Starting Salary:$112,000 - $125,000 annualized (based on experience) Benefits Include:401K, Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Doctoral or equivalent terminal degree (does not have to be limited to a doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology) from an accredited college or university, and a graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology or in speech, language, and hearing science from an accredited university or college. Experience: Three years of full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities at the graduate level and at least eight years of documented experience in Speech-Language Pathology, including clinical practice, administrative experience, and scholarship. Certifications, Licenses, etc.: Must hold CCC-SLP certification from ASHA and an unencumbered license in the state of residence. Candidate will be required to obtain a licensure in CA prior to the start date. Skills: * Proficient computer skills. * The ability to work independently and be self-motivated. * High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to solve problems. * The ability to explain complex requirements in clear and concise terms. * The ability to be flexible with workflow to meet the needs of the department and students, and to manage multiple tasks by required deadlines. * The drive to encourage, direct, hold accountable, and guide students toward task completion. * Must demonstrate the ability to work as an effective team member and develop trusting relationships with students and University employees. * Able to communicate and interact effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and/or experiences. * Highly motivated, focused, and results-oriented. * Ability to exercise discretion and tact in all interpersonal interactions, and to maintain confidentiality. * Collaboration and partnering with other university stakeholders to support candidate success. * Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
