Warehouse Associate

The Warehouse Associate is Responsible for performing duties associated with receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, and effectively maintaining the packaging and shipping areas in neat and organized manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

The Warehouse Associate's duties cover all areas of warehouse operations and may be asked to support some, or all the areas based on business need.

Shipping

• Processing, packaging, and shipping orders accurately
• Work with shipping software.
• Pack orders effectively, to ensure the product reaches the customer in good condition.
• Communicates any issues with orders to supervisor to ensure good customer service.

Receiving

• Receive and unload items from the shipping companies.
• Verify the packing slips match the received products.
• Communicate with Purchasing on mis-shipments.

Warehouse

• Organize and put-up stock inventory.
• Inspect products for defects and damages and reports any issues with supervisor.
• Keep warehouse clean and organized.
• Light building maintenance (i.e. changing light bulbs)

Other Duties

• Will support activities associated with parts being prepared for the RECON process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education, Training, Certifications:

• High School Diploma / GED.

Experience, Knowledge, Skill Requirements:

• Operate Forklift
• Self-motivated with the ability to work cross-functionally and with minimal supervision.

Communication Skills:

• Strong organizational, communication, and team management skills.
• Effective project management and problem-solving skills.

Other Qualifications:

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required.
• Must be able to comply with PFS's Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening requirements, which may also include customer specific requirements based on contractual agreement.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to bend, ascend and descend step stools, ladders and stairs, kneel, lift <50lbs, reach above and below shoulders, stand and walk for extended periods of time. Employee is required to see in color, close and far distances, peripheral, depth, and adjust focus. Employee will occasional be required to balance, crouch, drive, kneel, lift >50lbs, sit, stoop, twist, and work at heights.

Work Environment:

Employees will regularly be required to work outside, and be exposed to hot/cold temperatures, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards and noise. Employee will occasionally be required to work indoors in an office setting, work alone and with others. Employee must consistently wear all appropriate personal protective equipment, as required by company safety policies.
