Summary:

The Financial Analyst II performs a variety of complex analytical tasks to support the budgeting, financial reporting, and fiscal stewardship activities of JHM. This role actively participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of budgeting and financial reporting processes. Responsibilities include preparing, documenting, and validating accounting data, financial analyses, and reports used in the development and consolidation of the overall JHM budget. This position is empowered to take ownership of specific budget and financial areas, and to recommend and implement process improvements that strengthen financial planning and accountability.

Education: Requires a bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field.

Work Experience: Requires three years of experience in finance, budgeting, accounting, or a similar field, preferably in a healthcare setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Requires knowledge of budget processes, corporate finance, and accounting principles, which may include: healthcare financial concepts, budget analysis to support internal workstreams, project management, operational expense drivers, and financial and operational reporting (productivity reporting, financial statements, statistics).

Demonstrates working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statement components, with the ability to interpret and explain balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in support of internal reporting and decision making.

Exhibits competence in budget office policies, procedures, materials, and tools, along with a solid understanding of financial reporting. Demonstrates a high level of analytical skill to prepare accurate and meaningful financial or statistical analyses for diverse budget stakeholders, with a strong attention to detail.

Exhibits advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data tables and has considerable experience with accounting or budgeting systems (SAP and EPSi preferred).

Illustrates skills for managing moderate-level data projects, including assessment, organization, soliciting, inquiry, presentation, and proposing recommendations and/or solutions to leadership in a timely and relevant manner.

Salary Range: $28.47/hour - Maximum $47.00/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
