Information Processing Capability This role will have a minimal level of supervision. This role is self-managed the majority of the time. Workload is defined through reports and data, not by direction from their leader in most cases. This role is expected to plan their day, week, and longer based on the job functions they are responsible. In the event that there is a less than full time work load they are expected to seek direction from their leader as to define what other work content can be done within the open timeframe. This role is responsible to coordinate schedule timelines with the PCA, site leaders, and engineering team to align material availability, documentation availability, labor capacity. This role will define when to release shop orders (pick list,) when to escalate part expedites, determine material availability timeline, when to order standard plan and bulk materials based on past, current, and future usage, and from time to time what carriers to use to ship finished goods to customers. This role will plan their activities anywhere from a daily basis to a monthly basis depending on function. Material availability will be tracked from project inception that can be months out. Bulk and standard plan materials will be planned on a daily basis. They will be expected to plan weeks ahead for topics where they are contributing to a strategic improvement initiative. This role is a very fast paced dynamic role that that will be working on many activities at the same time. The ability to prioritize and plan is critical. In addition they will be expected to reach out to their peers and leaders for help when workload is beyond capacity or an impasse has been reached, this point will be self-determined. Risk-benefit analysis is required for sourcing and shipping situations. This role is expected to use active listening, analysis, research, creativity, and team work to overcome problems. This role is very complex in the way that it functions. The scope from project to project can change therefore making each project that they are supporting unique. This role helps fill many different functions such as supply chain, logistics, inventory control, planning, and other responsibilities as defined by their leader on an as needed basis. This role is required to interact with resources and support teams that are globally located, therefore timely and clear communication is critical. Accepts Role Requirements In this role the majority of the work content will be performed alone as an individual, while engaging others for information that allows them to make effective decisions or work actions. This role is often the voice of the site to other areas of the business, such as Solutions Consultants, Project Managers, Supply Chain, and Production Control Analyst's. They are expected to communicate clearly, accurately, and through data and facts. They are expected to engage others form the site as required based on the topic. In order to achieve this, this role may be expected to work overtime during the week and/or weekend. Although the majority of the role will be performed alone this role will regularly interact with others in the same department as well as roles upstream and downstream. All of these other roles are held to the same expectations in how they contribute to the business, so this role is expected to balance their personal goals with those they interact with. This role is expected to embrace and participate in strategic business initiatives that will be focused on improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This role is expected to do moderate level of problem solving on product they are working on. This role is expected to able to make decisions in regards to solving issues and have a solution ready for approval by the appropriate personnel.
