Overview

This role will manage and participate in activities that aid in the design, development, implementation, execution, maintenance, and oversight of appropriate enterprise risk management programs, processes, services and activities under the Fulton Financial Corporation's Enterprise Risk Management policy and framework. The role will have specific focus on the processes and programs in place to identify, assess, measure, monitor, and report enterprise technology-related risks within the organization, and will ensure that enterprise technology risk management and reporting align with overall enterprise risk management strategies and organizational goals. The role requires staying current with the latest banking related technology trends, emerging risks, and best practices in technology risk management across the extended enterprise.



Responsibilities

    Oversee and manage the design, implementation, management, and delivery of various risk management program services and activities related to enterprise technology delivery, operations, business enablement and related functions. Strengthen the first line of defense risk management activities by implementing process and technology risk and control standards, enterprise taxonomies, ensuring adequate policies and effective governance over various technology risks.
  • Provides risk management advice, resources, credible challenge, and oversight to the CIO organization's leadership team and technology owners and stakeholders across the Corporation. Continuously strives to improve and strengthen the organization's understanding of technology related risk management activities,
  • Coordinates risk management activities with those of other functions and groups within the Enterprise Risk Management function as well other specialist independent risk management functions or units to ensure the effective and efficient performance of each component of the Enterprise Risk Management Program. This includes, but is not limited to, the CISOs organization, third-party risk management (including legal counsel on particular technology contract-related risks), Compliance, Data Governance, Privacy Counsel, Model Risk Management etc.
  • Effectively communicates and works with senior levels of company management, line of business leaders, product managers, internal and external auditors, and examiners. Active member on risk management-related committees, company task forces, and meetings with broad stakeholder groups. Regular presenter at executive level committees.
  • Responsible for reporting on enterprise technology risks to management and relevant committees, monitoring the effectiveness of risk management programs, and identifying areas for improvement. Prepares and delivers high quality executive level risk management reporting and analyses to appropriate management, and governing bodies.
  • Assists in the ongoing development and implementation of the enterprise risk management strategy, vision and plan. Supports the development and execution of the enterprise risk management roadmap, manages, and participates in large initiatives designed to deliver the next generation risk management program for the enterprise.
  • Manages direct report activity, mentors and coaches Risk Management team members. Coaches and leads team members in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships across all levels of management within the business as well as maintaining high standards in risk management service delivery to the Corporation.
  • Reviews, interprets, and stays apprised of applicable laws, rules, regulations, and industry best practice standards to adapt the program accordingly.


Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: technology, business management, or related field. (Required)

Master's Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: technology, business management, or related field. (Preferred)

Experience

10 or more years compliance, external audit, internal audit, risk management, regulatory supervision, or applicable experience. (Required)

5 or more years technology risk management, consulting, advisory or related experience delivering risk management advisory and solution-related services to senior technology executives in banking. (Required)

Certifications

Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control. (Preferred)

Certified in Governance of Enterprise IT. (Preferred)

Certified Enterprise Risk Professional. (Preferred)

Certified Information Systems Auditor. (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Expertise in bank operations, technology, compliance risk management systems, governance, risk and compliance platforms, financial institution operational and technology risk management practices, internal controls, associated industry standards and frameworks (Required)

Other Duties as Assigned by Manager

This role may perform other job duties as assigned by the manager. Each employee of the Organization, regardless of position, is accountable for reading, understanding and acting on the contents of all Company-assigned and/or job related Compliance Programs, regulations and policies and procedures, as well as ensure that all Compliance Training assignments are completed by established due dates. This includes but is not limited to, understanding and identifying compliance risks impacting their department(s), ensuring compliance with applicable laws or regulations, and escalating compliance risks to the appropriate level of management.



Pay Transparency

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges on all job postings regardless of state. We set standard salary ranges for our roles based on the position, function, and responsibilities, as benchmarked against similarly sized companies in our industry. Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate's knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.

The salary range for this position is $108,400.00 - $180,600.00 annually.

Additional Compensation Components

This job is eligible to receive equity in the form of restricted stock units. This job is eligible to participate in a short-term incentive compensation plan subject to individual and company performance.
