Job Summary: The Social Media Consultant-Grant develops and implements effective social media strategies that enhance brand visibility, engagement, and growth. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in various social media platforms, trends, and analytics tools, with a strong ability to create compelling content and provide expert guidance on best practices. Performs other duties as needed.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field. Experience in managing social media accounts for brands or organizations, community management and customer engagement, and running paid social media campaigns.
Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube). Knowledge of digital marketing strategies and trends. Knowledge of branding principles and visual identity systems. Understanding of content marketing and storytelling through design. Read, write legibly, and speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects). Operate/troubleshoot basic equipment required for the position. Relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position Licensures and Certifications: Certifications in social media marketing or digital marketing (e.g., HubSpot, Google Digital Garage, Meta Blueprint).
