Your role:

You will work on AI for good projects related to analyzing and interpreting complex data sets and will play a key role in driving data-driven decision making. You will also assess risks, review responsible AI guidelines and frameworks, and develop and evaluate tools to audit AI projects. You are a data scientist and Python developer with knowledge in multiple technologies; you are driven, curious and passionate about your work; you are innovative, creative and focused on excellence; and you want to be part of an ego-free work environment where we value honest, healthy interactions and collaboration.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with the collection and analysis of large data sets
• Help implement algorithms and models for data analysis
• Help review, implement and evaluate responsible AI frameworks
• Assist with data visualization and presentation of findings to key stakeholders
• Be a customer advocate that implements responsible AI solutions
• Work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment within the Cognizant AI Labs team

Your profile:

• Pursuing a Master's or PhD degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field
• Experience with Python, Pandas, Numpy, Jupyter Notebook, GitHub and web development
• Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g. Matplotlib, Plotly, ...)
• Experience with usage of LLMs via API calls.
• Experience with agentic-AI systems and frameworks such as Langchain, Autogen etc.
• Experience with machine learning is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Duration and Location:

This is a full-time fixed term position for 3-4 months with potential possibility of extension and based in San Francisco.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The hourly salary for this position is between $[40/hr-75/hr] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
