DRAMATIC LITERATURE LECTURER SEARCH

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, IRVINE -

CLAIRE TREVOR SCHOOL OF THE ARTS, DEPARTMENT OF DRAMA

The Department of Drama is establishing a search of qualified applicants for a position as part-time lecturer for Fall Quarter 2025 in the curriculum area of dramatic literature.

The department seeks applicants to teach two upper division undergraduate level courses in theater and culture. Although the department will consider applications in all areas, we are particularly interested in courses in Theater History, Queer Theory, Latinx Studies, and/or Indigenous Studies. A PhD degree in Dramatic Arts/Theatre Arts is required.

Candidates for this position must show strong experience in teaching dramatic literature and working with a diverse student population in a university environment. Experience in teaching students on writing research papers is also required. Candidates must demonstrate an excellent research and teaching profile in the field of dramatic literature.
