Location: The Salvation Army - Henderson United Corps Status: Non-Exempt Part-Time MISSION STATEMENT The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. The Salvation Army in Henderson Nevada is looking to fill a Youth Worker Position. The successful candidate for this position will have previous experience working with children in a Corps/Church setting, be capable of making independent judgement and a demonstrated ability to relate and work with young persons with a diverse background. The Youth Worker will lead and assist the Corps Officers with youth programs including Sunday School classes, Sunday Morning Worship services, fellowship times, visitation, bible studies, outreach, young adults ministries, After School during the week and Summer Day Camp. This person will coordinate and drive for Youth programs and events, prepare and cook meals and snacks and coordinate attendance with parents and all aspects of programs with Schools. QUALIFICATIONS

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. The employee must have the ability to operate a telephone, desktop, or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
