Candidates who can contribute to that goal are encouraged to identify their strengths or experiences in this area. *** Respiratory Therapy Faculty~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please note that this position will remain open until filled. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Primary Function:The Respiratory Care Program Faculty is responsible for leading lecture classes and hands-on positioning labs, and administering the students' clinical experience with the program's clinical sites. This is a tenure-track teaching faculty position located at the Fowler campus in Bethlehem, PA. Responsibilities: Working with students and other faculty to instruct following the stated philosophy and objectives of the Respiratory Care Program and the College Catalog: (1) Planning the instructional offerings:
(2) Facilitating the instructional process:(3) Participating in all regularly scheduled meetings of the department/division, professional staff, and program meetings (4) Implementing special responsibilities as may be assigned: prepare a list annually of special assignments that reflect institutional and individual goals and ambitions appropriate to the position and the administrative team. Teaching Provides teaching excellence in the program. Teaches courses in the program. Travels, as needed, to clinical sites to meet with students, preceptors, and administrators as needed. Qualifications: (1) Education: (a) must have earned at least a baccalaureate degree from a Councilfor HigherEducation Accreditation (CHEA) approved Institutional Accreditor institution; (2) Experience:(a) Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a minimum of four years; (b) Must have at least two years' experience in clinical respiratory therapy; (c) Must have one year's experience teaching in an accredited respiratory therapist program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor; (3) Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:(a) Must hold and maintain a valid Pennsylvania respiratory therapist license;(b) Must hold and maintain current BLS and ACLS certifications; (c) Must hold and maintain current AARC membership. |
