Position Title: Industrial Painter
Wage: $22/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 6:30am-2:30pm Monday-Friday We are looking for candidates with previous industrial paint experience. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for applying specialized linings and coatings to steel piping systems used in critical industrial applications. Industrial Painter Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Prepare steel pipe surfaces through proper cleaning and pre-treatment methods - Apply various industrial linings and coatings in accordance with company specifications and quality standards - Mask off threaded ends or areas requiring special protection prior to painting - Operate and monitor painting equipment, including compressors, sprayers, and mixers, adjusting settings based on job requirements - Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times - Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning on all painting equipment to ensure reliable operation - Set up and maintain a clean, safe, and organized paint area; ensure proper pipe handling and secure workstations - Accurately log production data, including pipe types, coating details, durations, and any issues or variances encountered - Assist with other related tasks and support the team as needed to meet production goals Industrial Painter Requirements: - Previous experience with industrial or steel coatings preferred - Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and coating application methods - Familiarity with industrial safety practices and ability to consistently follow safety protocols - Basic computer skills and ability to enter job data accurately - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality - Effective verbal and written communication skills - Ability to lift heavy materials (50+ pounds), stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks in a production environment QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
