Consumers Credit Union (CCU) is adding a new Loan Coordinator Specialist to the Sales team! This is a great opportunity for someone who stives to cultivate a high level of member engagement by building and maintaining a personalized, seamless, and easy experience as a trusted financial partner.

Schedule/Location: This position offers a hybrid work schedule where some of your work week will be onsite at our modern and amenities driven Lake Forest office location and the rest will be spent working remotely.

As a Loan Coordinator Specialist, you'll be responsible for following up on approved loan applications and completing all facets of the loan application process to ensure loans are cleared to close. Also, you'll prepare power of attorney documents for auto loans, work with members to fulfill conditions set by underwriters, and manage post-close title issues. The primary objective is to ensure a smooth and efficient loan closing process while providing exceptional service to our members.

Main duties and responsibilities:



  • Actively manages loan pipeline by reviewing and managing loans progression through the closing process in a timely manner.
  • Ensures all necessary documents and information are obtained from members to expedite the loan closing process.
  • Works closely with the loan processing teams to obtain a clear to close, ensure complete and accurate loan applications are submitted by collecting, uploading, and submitting all the paperwork needed for the loan to become cleared to close. Acts as liaison between the processing team and members, or potential members, to answer questions and provide additional information as requested.
  • Works with members to gather conditions needed to open new memberships.
  • Liaise with title companies, insurance providers, and other relevant parties to resolve any outstanding issues or discrepancies.
  • Throughout all member interactions, proactively reviews member credit reports in order to identify opportunities to educate on products that align with the members' financial needs.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date records of loan applications, communications, and loan status updates in the credit union's systems and databases.
  • Provides exceptional member service, promptly and effectively addressing member inquiries, concerns, and requests related to loan closing and post-close issues.
  • Remains up to date on loan products, underwriting guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and provide accurate information to members.
  • Works alongside internal stakeholders, including loan officers, underwriters, and title companies, to streamline loan processes and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise.
  • Introduces credit union products and services including cross selling ancillary products, such as collateral and credit protection services.


Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent - Minimum
  • 2+ years' experience in sales, customer service, insurance, financial institutions - Preferred
  • Must be self-directed, ambitious, and comfortable in a highly goal-driven environment, with a passion for sales that make an impact!
  • Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to educate members on products and services and cross-sell with a needs-based approach
  • Time management, organizational, follow up skills, and the ability to process paperwork in an efficient and accurate manner
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Loan Origination Systems or related.
  • Availability to work 40 hours/week and be scheduled between the following hours:

    • Monday - Friday: 8AM - 6PM, Saturdays: 8AM - 1PM




Compensation & Benefits:

Budgeted amount for hourly rate is $22. Position is eligible for sales incentives.
