We are looking for a Franchise Business Partner to join our team!

As a Franchise Business Partner, you play a pivotal role in our partnership with Franchise field leaders on behalf of Bagel Brands. Your mission is clear: empower Franchisees to propel the cultural and operational success of the business, ensuring that each store contributes significantly to Bagel Brands overall value and strength. In this role, you'll engage directly with a diverse array of leaders across various Franchise organizational structures, providing crucial support and consultation. To thrive in this position, your commitment to delivering our mission and embodying our values is paramount. Your dedication will not only shape the success of individual Franchisees but will also contribute significantly to the broader success of Bagel Brands as a whole.

We are targeting $100,000-$120,000 base salary (depending on location and experience) with annual 15% bonus potential. The role requires the ability to travel for a majority of the working week. This is a remote role, required to be based in eastern time zones.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

New Store Openings & Training Support

  • Lead the implementation and strict adherence to Bagel BraFrancnds training systems, ensuring effective administration for all Franchise Managers in Training and support mentorship for Training General Managers.

  • Facilitate engaging and insightful 1:1 sessions for managers in training, fostering collaboration and strong partnerships with franchisee leadership.

  • Proactively monitor and coordinate New Store Openings by conducting recurring meetings, utilizing the New Store Opening Tracker, and collaborating closely with the Franchise Sales team.

  • Demonstrate a hands-on approach by being available on-site for critical new store opening key dates, as needed by the Franchisee.

Operations/Brand Coaching

  • Drive Franchisee adherence to Bagel Brands operational standards

  • Collaborate with Franchisees on action plans addressing key issues from site visits and Monthly Touch Bases.

  • Ensure LTO cadences are seamlessly executed within assigned portfolio.

  • Provide coaching on Store Brand Assessments, EcoSure Food Safety inspections, and conduct on-site re-training sessions as needed.

Financial Coaching

  • Top Line Performance: Take charge in leading Franchisees to align with sales drivers and brand initiatives, fostering growth in sales, traffic, and ticket.

  • P&L Reviews: Provide guidance and support to Franchisees in conducting financial evaluations, aiming for realistic profitability by reviewing P&Ls and sharing valuable benchmarks from US Retail.

  • Bottom Line: Demonstrate a profound understanding of store controllables such as Labor, Cost of Goods, and Repair & Maintenance, enabling effective coaching of Franchisees on improving bottom-line performance.

  • Monitor and ensure the achievement of budgeted sales and profitability within your areas of responsibility, including operational expenses, G&A, and the assigned annual operating plan.

Lead Communications Liaison/ Representative

  • Stay current with and communicate promptly any new directives from US Retail Operations to ensure alignment with company strategies.

  • Foster effective communication with Franchisees, ensuring they receive complete and timely information essential for executing the brand effectively.

  • Serve as a liaison, representing the Franchisee in collaboration with cross-functional teams within the Support Center.

  • Ensure that input, concerns, and questions raised by Franchisees are escalated to the appropriate individuals within Bagel Brands, promoting a responsive and collaborative working relationship.

Direct & Cross Functional Team Collaborator

  • Actively participate in all regularly scheduled meetings related to Franchise support, whether in person or via conference call.

  • Foster close collaboration with key teams, including Franchise Sales, Marketing, Finance & Supply Chain.

  • Undertake additional cross-functional tasks assigned by the Sr. Director of Franchise Operations to contribute to and improve system operations.

  • Engage with peers to share best practices, ensuring a thriving and successful franchise system through collaborative efforts.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • At least 5-7 years of restaurant or retail multi-unit management experience.

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience analyzing financial reports (Profit and Loss, Income Statement, etc.)

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

  • Ability to travel for a majority of the working week or as needed.

EDUCATION - TRAINING - EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
