Eleventh Hour Series Curator, Iowa Summer Writing Festival

The Iowa Summer Writing Festival is a noncredit creative writing program for adults housed in The University of Iowa's Magid Center for Writing. The program offers intensive workshops in literary craft to writers at all levels of literary practice, across the spectrum of literary genres. The Iowa Summer Writing Festival is seeking a curator for the 2025 Eleventh Hour Series, to be held June 15-27 and July 13-25. This individual would be responsible for the following:

• Solicits proposals and selects presenters for the series
• Coordinates with presenters on content, scheduling, and A/V needs for presentations
• Hosts the events, including delivering a brief introduction and moderating a Q&A
• Creates handouts, compiles event descriptions, and works with Festival staff to create the series calendar, online event listings, and social media posts for the series

The curator must be present in Iowa City for the duration of the series and will receive compensation commensurate with experience, subject to tax withholding.
