What You'll Do

This position will be located at our Cottonwood Branch: 601 W State Route 89ACottonwood, AZ 86326

The Assistant Branch Manager II partners with the Branch Manager in, and assumes increasingly more direct responsibility in, overseeing daily operations, sales, and member service of the full-service Credit Union branch. The Assistant Branch Manager coaches, develops, and empowers branch associates, while exceeding member expectations, managing risk, and supporting organizational growth.

  • Assists Branch Manager in directing and coordinating activities to implement Credit Union's policies, procedures, and practices concerning granting or extending lines of credit, real estate loans, and consumer credit loans.
  • Directs activities involving implementation of establishment services and functions including collecting delinquent accounts, authorizing loans, or opening savings accounts.
  • Assists in establishing procedures for custody and control of assets, records, loan collateral, and securities to ensure safekeeping.
  • Assists Branch Manager in developing branch goals and action plans to achieve those goals, while continuously monitoring branch performance.
  • Educates, promotes, and sells various Credit Union products and services to members.
  • Partners with Branch Manager to conduct community outreach efforts to promote brand awareness, establish and strengthen local community relationships, and support member growth.
  • Leads branch team of associates. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Prepares financial and regulatory reports required by law, regulations, Credit Union management, and the Board of Directors.
  • Maintains branch reports for internal use, the Board of Directors, and Corporate Officers.
  • Assists Branch Manager with the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets and staffing and facility needs.
  • Examines, evaluates, and processes loan applications.
  • Works directly with members to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Opens, secures, and closes branch as needed.
What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
  • Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of sales, customer service, or client-facing experience required.
  • Experience within a financial institution required.
  • Experience with policy and procedure compliance and management.
  • OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • A passion for people, innovation, and growth.
