Position Description Reporting to the Facility Quality Engineer, the Test Technician will test to industry standards all new and existing Airedale Chiller and Controls products, ranging from 150 to 550 TONS to determine all aspects of unit performance. The successful candidate will be required to report on specific unit types - performance testing, providing accurate test reports, etc. Key Responsibilities Provide high quality and reliable products and services in accordance with our published specifications to fully satisfy the needs of our customers. Carrying out tests on the full range of Airedale equipment Follow Test Procedures and give feedback for amendments where required Troubleshooting Assist Technical Support with site visits as periodically required Carry out customer end of line witness tests / assist with noise tests Involvement in quality investigations and structured problem solving using tools and methodologies for problems identified by external customer complaints and internal concerns. Engaging other departments in problem solving investigations. Undertaking all aspects of testing requirements, specifically: Pressure Test, Evacuation and Charging Refrigeration performance testing Electrical component testing Mechanical/ electrical installations Testing design TD at required waterflows and pressure drops Building test rigs and assisting with test plans Required Education & Qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent Refrigeration/HVAC qualification would be an advantage Electrical and mechanical knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
