TRISTAR is seeking a Assistant Facility Security Officer/Physical Security Manager for our Corporate Office in Bloomington, IN
- The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) will assist the Facility Security Officer (FSO) in managing multiple aspects of the security program to include, but not limited to, personnel security, OPSEC, security training, and OCONUS travel
- The AFSO will also serve as the Physical Security Manager responsible for the safeguarding of classified information and material. They will be effective in communicating with government customers, TRISTAR senior leadership, subcontract partners, and TRISTAR employees
- Will have knowledge of industrial security and will have had previous experience working in security in either a government, military, or contractor environment
- Will additionally have a working knowledge of security protocols and regulations
Position Responsibilities
- Processing of security documentation, scheduling and/or conducting pre-screening interviews, indoctrinations, processing of classified and unclassified visit requests, and briefing employees on proper safeguarding of classified material
- Responsible for classified inventory and the proper protection, destruction, transportation, receiving, and marking of classified materials
- Assist the FSO with the oversight of the construction of classified facilities for the safeguarding of classified materials
- Assist the FSO with facilitating facility inspections by DCSA
- Assist the FSO with physical security of multiple facilities and the safeguarding of classified material, up to and including TS/SCI.
- Ability to coordinate unclassified and classified meetings according to NISPOM requirements
- Assist with the implementation of site specific security procedures, checklists, process controls and practices for classified operations, up to and including TS/SCI
- Assist with maintaining and managing all personnel security files for employees
- Provide training in security procedures, requirements, protocols, and operations
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of CUI and special handling caveats including ITAR restrictions pertaining to foreign nationals
- Experience protecting personnel information in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974
- Experience with DISS and other government security information systems
- Experience with the physical security of classified material and classified facilities management
- Experience with producing security related training materials and conducting employee training both remotely and in person
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be a US Citizen
- An Active Secret Clearance is required or the ability to obtain one and must be able to obtain and maintain a government-issued security clearance of Top Secret
Education and Certification:
- Associates degree and two or more years of experience in Industrial Security required. Degree requirement may be waived with a minimum of 5 years of job specific experience
