What We Offer

The Mechanical Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the reliability of complex mechanical equipment, including extruders, pelletizers, centrifuges, compressors, blowers, specialized process pumps, vacuum pumps, fans, gearboxes and hydraulic systems. Perform oil sampling, vibration studies, mechanical and process systems troubleshooting and problem-solving measures, equipment alignment, precision measurement and other routine maintenance functions.

Major Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain specialized mechanical equipment

  • Perform routine planned maintenance work, write equipment repair reports with detailed description of equipment repair history.

  • Perform emergency work (safety, production, quality critical work, etc.)

  • Provide direction and guidance to General Contractor personnel as required (includes turnaround activities)

  • Preventive and predictive maintenance activities (standard and specialized) including program input.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical equipment, assist in MTBF and predictive maintenance analysis

  • Equipment and systems upgrades and modifications (includes cost saving and reliability studies)

  • Provide 24/7 maintenance support coverage for all area production facilities

  • Complete millwright program per training

  • Complete all regulatory training requirements

  • Possible upgrade to Area Maintenance Supervisor

What You Offer

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience

  • NCCER certified or College Millwright Certification

  • The eligibility to apply for and obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) within a reasonable timeframe

Preferred Qualifications

  • Electronical /technical training

  • Able to read basic mechanical drawing or piping

  • Industrial Manufacturing/Chemical/Refinery experience

Knowledge & Skills

  • Equipment trouble shooting and repairing

  • Performs preventive and predictive maintenance plans to complete, tasks according to schedule

  • Executes PM plan according to the SAP Information

  • Completes related corrective maintenance jobs during shift time

  • Works out maintenance records and reports related issues

  • Complies with HES policy and ensures that maintenance jobs are, finished under safe conditions

  • Carries out patrols and reports any abnormal findings

  • Prepares maintenance activity reports and submits them to, supervisor after finishing each activity

  • Uses and maintains all tools in a proper condition

  • Ability to train and take "ownership" of equipment in assigned area

  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
