Contingent Upon Contract Award
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Supply Technician for an on-site position to support the Explosive Ordnance Disposal Group ONE (EODGRU1) Watercraft Support Services for the US Navy based in San Diego, California.
Job Description:
- Responsible for researching repair parts, service procedures, and tool requirements to support the maintenance and repair of watercraft and trailer equipment. This includes obtaining quotes from commercial vendors, using manufacturer manuals and electronic databases, and maintaining a 95% order accuracy rate.
- The role involves aspects of supply chain management such as inventory control, storage management, and maintaining a storeroom stocked with commonly used service items.
- A qualified candidate will assess inventory levels, identify high/low limits, and make recommendations to the Government regarding part availability and storage based on usage rates and acquisition timelines.
- Additional duties include logistics support related to shop maintenance, reviewing mechanic worksheets, and conducting market research using various sources when items are not available through the Navy stock system. All procurement responsibilities remain with the Government, and an individual in this role must clearly identify as a contract employee without the authority to make purchases or commitments.
Qualifications:
- Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years' experience in logistics and parts procurement/management.
- Must possess strong interpersonal and communication abilities, enabling effective coordination with both internal teams and external partners. This includes the skill to navigate and resolve complex issues through clear and concise communication.

- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD "Secret" security clearance.
Travel Requirements:
- Occasional Travel-Less than 10% travel
- If a position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
