Overview

Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies. We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems. Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and supplier
  • Maintain configuration management of B9166 ready spares stocks by tagging components and processing components in/out of the building.
  • Using DDMS, track component location, service media, pressure ratings, and other pertinent information, as necessary.
  • Comply with all applicable safety and health related rules, regulations, and procedure
  • Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and supplier
  • Assist supervisors and managers in identifying and mitigating potentially hazardous conditions.
  • Help the organization maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
  • All other duties as assigned.

REQUISITE SKILLS:

  • Experience with government facilities programs desirable but not necessary.
  • A working knowledge of the English language is required.
  • The candidate shall be able to operate in a team environment, and shall have good interpersonal, reporting and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Following Safety Regulations adhering to safety standards and regulations, including OSHA and other local codes.
  • Communicating with Clients/Customers explaining potential availability/delivery issues to customers, outlining suitable options, and recommending alternatives as required.
  • Good time management, organizational, and planning skills are required.
  • Ability to pay close attention.
  • Ability to work with computers, Nasa databases (DDMS & Maximo) and other programs as required.
  • Ability to work independently but follow specific detailed
  • Ability to interface with various levels of personnel in a multi-cultural, team oriented environme
  • Responsible for managing, receiving/shipping for Sierra Lobo within the TOC contract and NASA's test complex. This includes: assigning control numbers with the stock numbers, entering data into the database, maintaining current prices, setting reorder levels, executing replenishment orders within the inventory and through direct buys, material requests, and materials to and from the shop areas as required.
  • Responsible for obtaining off-site purchases as requested.
  • Maintenance includes maintaining chemicals, MSDSs, shelf life stock, controlled material and items of special significance like ladders, scaffolding, large non powered hand tools and protective equipment.
  • Responsible for the annual excessing of underutilized stock and for preparing required reports.
  • Perform stock management functions within prescribed customer requirements.
  • Must maintain a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Eight (8) years of propulsion test operations as an Engineering Technician or 6 years or related site experience with a related 2 year degree.
  • Extensive knowledge of both electrical and mechanical components and hardware for systems of the test complex environment
  • Must have sufficient mobility to enter all areas of test facilities; crawl, climb, ascend/descend stairs daily, etc.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Dexterity to operate office equipment as required by the position.
  • Must meet and be able to maintain all certification requirements required for work area.
  • Must be a U. Citizen in order to obtain required NASA badge.
