Inside the Role

As part of the Daimler Truck North America's communications team, you will be at the pulse of everything that happens within our company. Every member plays a crucial role in shaping and sharing our story with a variety of key audiences. Be at the forefront of projects that highlight DTNA's leadership in the industry like product and service launches, press conferences, partnerships or events. The goal is to extend DTNA's communications and experiences via media, digital, social media, events, community and partnerships/sponsorships to position DTNA as the industry leader, employer of choice, and good corporate citizen. With a focus on content strategy and production and digital platform and social media with the DTNA Communications Team on a variety of exciting areas and topics. You will be able to confidently navigate organizational complexity and effectively interface with multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally. You will proactively learn the industry, business environment, terminology, products and competitive landscape and have access to many opportunities. We Take Care of Our Team

Position offers a starting salary range of $86,000 $110,000 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience

What You Drive at DTNA

  • Strategy:Develop content strategy based on objectives, current content trends, Daimler Truck brand, target audiences and relevant channels. Partner with the Corporate Communications Team to identify business objectives, Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) culture topics and company products and services to create content framework and franchises. Research and analyze targets audience and industry trends.

  • Content Creation & Management:Develop and publish inspiring, informative and interactive content and stories that are relevant for internal and external channels and audiences that include short and long-form videos, video, imagery, and copy for social media posts and website content. Create and curate original content (images, videos) to enhance brand and messaging. Manage integrated editorial calendar, manage, schedule and publish social posts.

  • Brand Management: You will assist with the brand management of Daimler Truck/Daimler Truck North America to drive consistency globally and in North America across all aspects of the company.

  • Community Engagement: Interact with other Daimler Truck brands as well as partners, dealers, customers, and employees across social media platforms. Engage in social media conversations to build strong online community, interaction and reputation. Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly and effectively.

  • Content Audits: Proactively deliver content audits across social and digital platforms to ensure brand positioning and consistency and engaging and relevant content for audiences and channels is aligned with internal and external objectives.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues within Daimler Truck North America and across the globe, including internal teams like Product and Brand Marketing, Engineering and Legal, to ensure consistent and impactful messaging. Coordinate social media across corporate, brands, functions and partners with a focus on governance, compliance and policies.

  • Partnerships: Work with partners for announcements and collaborations, and lead efforts to ensure alignment with company goals and strategies.

  • Integrated Communications: Drive integrated communications by thinking outside the box with regards to external communications, social media and digital platforms.

  • Operations & Administration:Assist with administration, optimization and development of internal and external communication platforms including corporate website, social media platforms, social intranet, digital asset management, applications, and new platforms.

  • KPI Measurement & Optimization: Measure key performance indicators (KPIs) such as social media engagement rates, reach, impressions, website traffic, bounce rates and conversion to evaluate the success of content strategies and channel/platform performance. Provide on-going reporting and insights with KPI's to optimize inform future strategies and content strategy and development.

  • Travel: Some travel is required.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • At least Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field with preferably at least 5 years of relevant experience or 8 years of experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Social Media and Digital Platforms: Familiar working with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, and YouTube. Experience with social media management platforms such as Hootsuite, Sprout, Sprinklr or Emplifi. Also experience with website content management systems and reporting Tools.

  • Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing effective and integrated content, social, and digital marketing strategies.

  • Creativity: Bring fresh ideas and innovative approaches to our content and digital strategies. Be creative in reaching audiences, leveraging new platforms, and making a measurable impact.

  • Project Management: Strong skills in managing projects, developing editorial calendars and digital platform administration.

  • Analytics: Understanding of social media and website performance metrics and insights.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Graphic Design: Experience with graphic design, photo editing and publishing in Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop.

  • Agility: React quickly to a dynamic internal and external environment by adjusting our content and digital strategies and adapting to the needs of key internal stakeholders and our company.

  • Proactivity: Take initiative to drive impactful content and digital experiences and support making a difference in how Daimler Truck North America is perceived globally.

  • Industry Knowledge: Industry knowledge in the automotive and/or trucking sectors is a plus.
