Powder Coat EV Technician ($19.89 - $22.17/hr.)
Overview $1.50/hr. shift differential for 2nd or 3rd shift ($19.89-$22.17/hr.) Responsibilities The Powder Coat Technician is responsible for: Cleanliness and maintenance of all equipment in the Environmental Room and throughout the powder coat monorail system. Filling paint canisters Overseeing the powder coat sprayers in the paint booth Notifying Maintenance of any problems with equipment Maintaining the powder inventory and reporting usage daily Monitor spare parts inventory for spraying equipment Various other duties as required PPE and Certifications required: Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Boots Hearing Protection (All areas of powder coat) Bump Cap (when crossing under monorail) Tyvek Suit and Respirator (when filling/emptying paint canisters) Operation of Forklift (Completion of training course) Powder Coat Sprayer (Completion of an online medical questionnaire) Qualifications Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic understanding of powder coating system(s). Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge and ability to key critical data into a computer with accuracy and thoroughness. Certificates and Licenses: No certifications needed. Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
