SECTION MANAGER I

TITLE: Section Manager I

POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for maximizing slitting and metallizing production outputs and yields in a safe and cost-effective method.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ten years BOPP manufacturing experience with seven in a management role
• A college degree in Engineering or a science is preferred
• Five additional years of similar experience may substitute for a college degree
• Literate in Microsoft Office
• Must be on call the majority of the time
• Willing to work evenings and weekends if necessary
• Some travel is required
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary

• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Optimizes the production planning process to ensure production yield targets are met
• Coordinates with maintenance to minimize machine downtime and to maximize machine uptime
• Directs supervisors on daily duties
• Ensures required training is completed in a timely manner
• Ensures safety and quality standards are met
• Ensures production schedules are met
• Special projects as directed
• Works with customers on quality improvements

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

• Manufacturing/office environment
• Hot and Cold temperatures
• Loud noises
