Job Description

In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary health care team, this position is responsible for the coordination of benefits, payor liaison, and clinical review to promote high quality, efficient and cost effective outcomes of patients.

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years experience in acute psychiatric setting or two (2) years experience in case management/care coordination role.

• Knowledge and experience in managed care.

• Advanced communication skills in advocacy, negotiation and conflict resolution; both written and verbal.

• Computer proficiency including Microsoft office suite programs and experience in healthcare IT systems use, spreadsheet entry and data analysis.

• Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to organize, analyze and present data.

• Demonstrated ability working well with patients/families, physicians, nursing and ancillary staff.

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

One of the following clinical licenses to support the success in this role:

• Valid California LCSW license
• Valid California LMFT/LPCC license
• Valid California PhD/PsyD license
• Valid California LVN, RN, or MD license
• Valid California Occupational Therapy License.
