We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at Mott MacDonald for a mega light rail transportation project in Seattle. As the Owner-side estimating lead, you will be part of an integrated Owner/Consultant team responsible for vetting and overseeing estimates prepared by consultants, contractors, and third parties involved in the program.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the estimation process for the light rail transportation project.
  • Vet and oversee estimates from consultants, contractors, and third parties.
  • Improve consistency and defendability of estimates.
  • Provide detailed analysis and effective summary reports.
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.


Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil estimating with a contractor.
  • Recent experience in the Pacific Northwest is essentialandknowledge of current market and bidding conditions is important
  • Proficiency in HeavyBid / HCSS software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to delve into estimate details.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting and presentations.



Location:



  • Downtown Seattle project office.
  • In-office presence required 4-5 days per week.

At Mott MacDonald, we provide a comprehensive benefit package that includes 401k, medical, dental and vision insurance, short-term/long-term disability, paid holidays, PTO, parental leave and company paid life insurance.

The expected salary for this position is $161,000 - $198,000

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.
