Location: Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, MD-Core Lab

Full-Time/40 hours per week/Day Shift- 7:00am-3:30pm

General Summary:




  • Assists the Supervisor in monitoring the operations of designated areas to ensure that service standards and financial goals are met.


  • Contributes significantly in developing and is responsible for implementation of goals and standards.


  • Trains and directs technologists and others in the specialized testing techniques and ensures staff remains within acceptable competency levels to meet Laboratory Services, CAP, TJC, State of Maryland requirements for compliance.





Minimum Qualifications:

Education:




  • A baccalaureate degree (B.S.) in Medical Technology or related science is required



Experience:




  • Five years experience in the relevant discipline in a clinical laboratory is required
  • Experience in other related clinical laboratory disciplines helpful
  • Experience with training or education preferred
  • Experience with staff supervision is preferred



Certifications:




  • MT (ASCP) or equivalent is required

Salary Range: Minimum $32.14/hour - Maximum $53.01/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
