Position Summary:

At Securian Financial, we are looking for someone to join our Office Services team in an entry-level mail processing position. This person will work in our Mail Services to support associates and departments with mail-related inquiries. This is an onsite position at our beautiful campus located in downtown St. Paul.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Help associates and departments with mail-related inquiries, including tracking lost or delayed items and resolving delivery issues. Manages special deliveries such as registered mail, certified mail, and express shipments, ensuring they are handled appropriately.
  • Preparing and sending outgoing mail. This involves weighing items, applying postage, processing UPS & FedEx items on shipper platforms. Operating and maintaining mailroom equipment such as tape dispensing equipment. Maintain accurate records of package detail for tracking packages and maintaining shipping details.
  • Managing supplies such as packaging materials and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Sorting and distributing mail.
  • Coordinate with courier services to coordinate pickups and deliveries.
  • Manages risk associated with critical customer privacy and regulatory compliance.
  • Requires working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience.
  • Identifies the problems and all relevant issues in straightforward situations, assesses each using standard procedures, and makes sound decisions.
  • Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Excellent service and organizational skills to handle multiple requests and priorities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid administrative skills, including formatting, grammar, proofreading.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.

Working Arrangements: In this role, you would be expected to work onsite 40 hours a week with typical work hours between 7:30 am - 4:45 pm

The estimated base pay range for this job is:

$18.27 - $31.73

Pay may vary depending on job-related factors and individual experience, skills, knowledge, etc. More information on base pay and incentive pay (if applicable) can be discussed with a with a member of the Securian Financial Talent Acquisition team.
