Summary:
Provides leadership and management of all financial aspects of the organization. Plans and directs all aspects of the organization's financial policies, objectives and initiatives. Responsible for fully supporting the attainment of short and long-term financial and operational goals. Provides support and assistance in the development of the organization to ensure future growth. Responsible for recommending initiatives to control/reduce expenses and waste.
In this role, you will manage all accounting, financial reporting and internal control functions, facilitate executive and board level decision-making and strategic planning.
SALARY: $120,849 - $181,274 wage offer will be based on experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Supervise Accounting and Supply staff
- Provides timely feedback and recognition
- Coach Employees
- Advise and counsel staff regarding processes, work expectations, policies, etc.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support and implement the directives of the Executive Team, Finance Committee, Board of Directors and Shareholders
- Oversees and coordinates preparation of annual budget
- Oversees the daily financial operations of the organization
- Establish an organizational culture committed to the pursuit of excellence through continuous quality improvement and implementation of 'best practices'
- Ensures the financial viability of the company by maintaining systems to control finances and staffing
- Initiates action, is decisive, and overcomes obstacles to achieve high-quality results
- Provide oversight of Finance department activities
- Commit to professional development
- Collaborate with other leaders to optimize finance services
- Audit and analyze company expenses. Review for trends, including financial gaps
- Payor contract review and insurance coverage
- Investment planning and growth finance options
- Payroll and cashflow management
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in accounting
- Master's degree in healthcare, business administration or science preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
- Revenue Cycle Experience Prefered.
Skills and Abilities
- 10 years of progressive management experience
- Skill in preparation and presentation of financial reports to the Finance Committee (and upon request to the Executive Team, Board and/or Shareholders).
- Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, problem solving and decision-making
- Skill in analyzing situations accurately, development of comprehensive reports and interpretation of complex data.
- Ability to plan, set priorities to meet key objectives within noted deadlines and avoid crisis management
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Previous financial experience in the health care industry
- Laboratory experience preferred
- Ability to develop a solid understanding of health care business office operations
- Solid understanding of hospital, physician and lab reimbursement methodologies
- Knowledge of governmental accounting regulations and compliance requirements, organizational policies, procedures and systems, fiscal management, payroll management and the health care environment
- Development and maintenance of effective relationships with medical and office staff, clients
