About This Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, FP&A to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function, providing strategic insights, and driving financial performance. This role requires a deep understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis, along with strong leadership and communication skills. Additionally, the Senior Manager, FP&A will serve as a finance partner to our Chief Technology Officer (CTO), supporting technology initiatives and ensuring alignment with financial goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead FP&A for R&D, IT, Product Market and select other functions contributing to our development goals. To include annual budgeting, quarterly and monthly forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management to drive business growth and profitability. Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to senior leadership, including variance analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and financial metrics.
  • Serve as finance partner to CTO. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure robust project evaluations with buy-in and alignment of financial goals and objectives.
  • Build and maintain ROI models for organic and inorganic opportunities such as acquisitions, strategic partnerships and new business models. Lead internal ROI modeling and support prioritization of programs, ensuring accurate evaluation of financial returns and strategic value. Thorough project ROI models include planning for capitalized labor, P&L impact, cash flow, and balance sheet implications of various projects. Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of project costs and benefits.
  • Measure and analyze R&D effectiveness using metrics such as the R&D vitality index and other relevant indicators. Provide insights to optimize R&D investments and drive innovation.
  • Manage and mentor a team of FP&A analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function. Utilize financial systems and tools to streamline reporting and analysis.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and projects as required by senior management.

Experience and Minimum Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Established expertise in corporate FP&A, financial controls, GAAP accounting, financial reporting, and financial systems
  • Expert level financial modelling and analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Experience building ROI models to evaluate inorganic growth initiatives. Deep understanding of connectivity between three financial statements and experience creating connected models.
  • Proven ability to act as a strategic thinker, aligning financial plans with company goals and business priorities.
  • Experience in a finance role in the medical device, health care services or MedTech industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and coach small teams towards achieving organizational goals.
  • Understands key performance measures and indicators that drive reporting and analytics
  • Proven quantitative and critical-thinking skills, with a high level of independent judgment and initiative
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members
  • Demonstrated ability to manage numerous projects and priorities with various deadlines
  • Strength in researching, understanding and succinctly explaining complex transactions and business impact.
  • Ability to find and assemble large volumes of data and inputs, and to organize for strategic decision making with an acute sense of urgency.
  • High degree of integrity to handle confidential assignments.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access). Experience and understanding of Workday's Adaptive Planning tool preferred
  • Ability to work and lead in a remote environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities or Certifications:

  • Experience and understanding of Workday's Adaptive Planning tool
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, matrix environment

Travel Requirements:

  • Less than 10% domestic travel required.

Overtime/Additional Hours Requirements:

  • Additional hours may be required (exempt positions)

Physical Requirements

  • Normal Office Environment
  • Indoor work in a climate-controlled environment.
  • Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Actual compensation may vary depending on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.

Estimated Pay Range

$135,000 - $215,000
