DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This is a limited term, full time position in our Reading District Office. The Clerical Assistant 2 will type and proofread letters, reports, transmittals, Notices of Violation and various other correspondence for the office. Additional duties include receiving office visitors and either assist them or direct them to appropriate personnel. You will operate a telephone call directory console with the capability of multiple line switching to receive and screen incoming telephone calls. Additional responsibilities include processing incoming and outgoing mail, as well as maintaining the centralized filing system at the Reading District Office.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday-Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting hourly rate of $18.05 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
