Responsibilities

The Patient Services Representative routinely schedules and coordinates patient appointments with provider, manages flow of information to physicians, nursing staff, therapists, clerical staff, etc. as necessary to maintain operations, and prioritizes workload to facilitate efficient flow of information messages. The Patient Services Representative also works with coworkers, other departments and outside companies, assisting with the provision of safe, efficient and quality patient care.



Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

    Position requires a high degree of collaboration and customer service with both internal and external customers.
  1. A minimum of 6 months previous scheduling/patient intake experience in a healthcare setting required.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  3. Ability to read, write and speak English required.
  4. Strong basic computer skills required.
  5. Courteous and professional communication skills required to interact with internal and external customers.
  6. Strong clerical and organizational skills needed to perform record keeping and scheduling duties.
  7. Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
  8. BLS (AHA) certification preferred.
