Your Job

Phillips-Medisize, a Molex Company, is seeking a Test Technician to join our Test Engineering organization at our Hudson, WI facility. The Test Technician supports diverse product performance and compliance activities by assisting with test engineering studies, equipment qualifications, and product and process Validations.

Shift: 1st Shift, M-F, 8am - 5pm with flexibility.

Phillips-Medisize is an end-to-end provider of innovation, development, and manufacturing solutions to the pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and medical device industries. This position will work collaboratively within the Global Quality Organization.

What You Will Do

  • Assist with product testing by researching, analyzing, and applying test engineering concepts, techniques, and criteria; adapt and modify options; develop and evaluate methodologies.
  • Maintain testing timelines by meeting project timetables, specimen tracking and preparation, and timely and accurate test executions
  • Qualification and verification of test equipment
  • Aid in identifying product failures by establishing test standards, methods, test environment; analyzing and evaluating findings and failures; identifying root causes
  • Perform basic routine equipment maintenance and use scheduling
  • Support equipment and process qualification and validation activities
  • Manage equipment calibration requirements
  • Document test studies by recording test results; assisting in preparing reports; and maintaining test results databases
  • Travel to other Phillips-Medisize and vendor sites may be required to support business needs
  • Ability to support and collaborate cross functionally

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Associate degree in a Mechanical Engineering related area OR 2+ years in a quality related, laboratory or manufacturing environment
  • Experience in applying logical reasoning, test assumptions, observing results, and suggesting corrections
  • Working proficiency of Microsoft Excel and Word

What Will Put You Ahead

  • SAP experience
  • 1+ year experience with GDP (Good Documentation Practices)
  • Experience in a medical or regulated manufacturing environment
  • Direct Hands-on experience with Mecmesin and /or MTS force test equipment
  • Experience with Mechanical and/or medical device testing
  • Strong understanding of test equipment, test lab methodologies and test report writing
  • Demonstrated track record of planning activities with contingency actions
