Senior Software Architect - AIOps

T-Rex Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Architectto support our USCIS contract with a focus onautomation,orchestration, andAIOps. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT operations, software development, and operational intelligence, and a proven record of delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions. All work is performed on-site at Stennis Space Center.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex software systems that integrate automation, orchestration, and AIOps capabilities.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in identifying and implementing process improvements through intelligent automation tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and integration strategies.
  • Ensure software solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with USCIS and federal IT standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and contribute to Agile development cycles.
  • Provide technical mentorship and leadership to junior developers and team members.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • 5+ years of IT experience as a technical lead or SME in software development and system implementation.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain USCIS EOD Suitability
  • Demonstrated success in managing and deploying enterprise software development projects.
  • Certification in at least one of the following areas:


    • Software Development
    • Automation and Orchestration (e.g. Red Hat Ansible)
    • AIOps (or equivalent professional credential)




Desired Skills:



  • Experience with government or federal agency contracts.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Python, UIPath).
  • Familiarity with AIOps platforms and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, New Relic, Solarwinds, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices (Preferably GitHub Actions).
  • Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $140,000 - $200,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
