Senior Java Developer

Full-time professional position at Digital Management's business office located in McLean, Virginia with travel/relocation to unanticipated project sites within the US expected. ** The Employee is expected to travel for up to 10% of work time and work remotely from home if needed.**

Duties:

Developing and maintaining, clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, prioritizing code clarity and understandability for efficient future maintenance.
• Gathering requirements in software development lifecycle (SDLC) for complex enterprise Java applications. This includes analyzing user and business needs to define project scope, functionality and user flows. Translating requirements into actionable plans, creating storyboards, mockups, and detailed technical documentations.
• Troubleshooting and debugging complex Java application issues, effectively identifying and resolving root causes of application errors.
• Mentoring and guiding junior developers, fostering their growth through code reviews, guidance, and enforcing code standards.
• Providing expertise throughout the SDLC, analyzing user needs, designing software systems, and offering technical leadership across all development phases.
• Contribute to migration of AngularJS to Angular to build interactive and dynamic UI.

Education/Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related software development position. Foreign equivalent degrees are acceptable.

Special Requirements: 3 years of verifiable experience performing software development duties employing the following technical tools: Mule, Drools, Activiti, Angular, Rational Team Concert (RTC), NVDA, Spring batch, Spring boot, DB2, Eclipse, Jazz.
