Valiant has an exciting opportunity for a Simulator Technician I. The Simulator Technician I reports directly to the Site Manager. The Simulator Technician I's specific job responsibilities included but are not limited to the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Maintain the files and records to document and support the maintenance effort.
  • Keep the Site Manager apprised of training devices' status and any ongoing logistics efforts.
  • Assist the Site Manager with all logistics functions.
  • Perform MSP inventories as required by Site Manager.
  • With Assistance, perform Organizational Maintenance on all site training devices in accordance devices in accordance with all applicable safety and maintenance documents.
  • Operate training devices and provide Instructor/Trainee/Inspector assistance in a timely manner.
  • Perform janitorial services on assigned spaces as required.
  • Work any shift and weekends as specified by the Contract for this site.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to receive and retain a minimum of a SECRET clearance for access to classified information

PAY RATE: The rate for this position is $48.79 /hr. However, Valiant considers several factors, including but not limited to, market data, business considerations, internal equity, the role and responsibilities of the position, a candidate's work experience, education, and training, when extending an offer.

BENEFITS: This position includes a competitive benefits package. The provision of benefits are outlined in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).

CERTIFICATION:



  • Information Assurance (IA) certification of CompTIA A+ is required; a Security + is desired. An approved Operating System Certification will be required within 6 months of hire.


EXPERIENCE:



  • 4+ years of simulator maintenance and shall be a graduate from a two (2) year resident Electronics Technician course at an accredited technical institute or the equivalent.
  • A Simulator Tech I shall demonstrate competence through satisfactory progressive performance as a Simulator Technician Training or experience equivalency will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis by the Government.
  • Requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions given in English.
  • Possess the ability to obtain a US Passport and must have and maintain a valid driver's license.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Physical ability to walk, stand, and/or sit for extended periods of time, and to climb two (2) flights of stairs is required.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 75 pounds.
  • Must present a professional appearance in demeanor and dress at all times.
