Cognizant Technology Solutions is currently seeking a highly skilled SAP FICO Principal Functional Architect who will be catering to North America customers and involves supporting proactive and reactive business opportunities such as managed services and transformation. The individual will be closely working with our onsite sales / delivery teams, and participate in solution discussions, and workshops.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal SAP FICO Functional Architect to lead the design and implementation of SAP FICO solutions, with a strong emphasis on Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) and Cost Centre Accounting (CCA). This role is ideal for a strategic thinker with deep expertise in Research and Development (R&D), Manufacturing, and Supply Chain domains. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing financial processes and driving innovation across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design and deployment of SAP FICO solutions to enhance financial performance and profitability analysis.
  • Integrate SAP FICO modules, particularly Cost Centre Accounting, to streamline and automate financial operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align SAP solutions with evolving business strategies.
  • Provide expert-level guidance on SAP FICO functionalities, ensuring best practices in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for SAP FICO processes to support compliance and operational excellence.
  • Conduct system assessments and recommend improvements to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to build internal SAP FICO capabilities.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the reliability of SAP FICO applications.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of financial systems.
  • Support strategic planning efforts by leveraging SAP FICO capabilities to enable business growth.
  • Translate business requirements into functional SAP FICO solutions through stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure SAP FICO systems are adaptable to changing business needs and technological advancements.
  • Provide insights to optimize SAP usage in R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain environments.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in SAP FICO with a focus on Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) and Cost Centre Accounting (CCA).
  • Strong domain knowledge in R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement SAP solutions that deliver measurable business value.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and functions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and enhance SAP systems.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience leading workshops and training.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align technology solutions with business goals.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $156,500 - $183,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
