OOC). Reporting to the Senior Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration, this position works independently with minimal instruction and oversight from
SVC.
This position is responsible for but not limited to:
- Develops and implements administrative procedures and policies
- Performs professional work that requires knowledge of general administrative and office management principles as well as specific knowledge of university policy and procedures

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- High School diploma or equivalent, and/or up to 4 years of relevant office, clerical, bookkeeping, library assistant, or related experience, depending on the duties to be performed
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the experience requirement

Preferred Qualifications |
- Experience with Rutgers office functions
- Comfortable working in a multilingual and multicultural environment

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Requires a high school diploma in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of office administration, work organization, coordination, facilitation, bookkeeping, and report writing principles and practices
- Experience in an administrative function, excellent communication skills, and expert knowledge of relevant computer software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Demonstrates ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced setting under multiple deadlines

Equipment Utilized |
- Regularly uses computer equipment and software programs including Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Drupal (for website management), as well as Rutgers-specific programs
|
Physical Demands and Work Environment |
- Ability to carry boxes with promotional material
- Ability to set up tables and chairs for medium size events (50-100 ppl) and manage office supplies/storage space
