Base salary $125,000 to $150,000, with escalating bonus opportunities based on individual achievement.

The Role

As a Business Development Officer - Retirement Plan Solutions at Curi RMB Capital, you will play a crucial role in driving growth and achieving sales excellence as an important member of our Retirement Plan Solutions (RPS) team. The RPS team is focused on Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution retirement plans, including 401(k), 403(b), Profit Sharing Plans, Cash Balance Plans, ESOPs, and more. Leveraging your experience in retirement and corporate benefits, your primary emphasis will be identifying and sourcing qualified leads while also acting as a key talent in closing new business to support revenue and profitability growth. The solutions offered include co-fiduciary services, plan design, reporting, investment selection, vendor management, and participant education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and engage new business opportunities related to retirement plans, cultivating relationships with decision-makers at target organizations.
  • Lead Generation & Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients, ensuring consistent follow-up and progression through the sales cycle from initial contact to plan adoption.
  • Consultative Sales: Provide expert guidance and consultative support to prospects on retirement plan options tailored to meet their specific needs.
  • Networking & Relationship Building: Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Salesforce Management: Utilize Salesforce to manage leads, opportunities, sales activities, and prospect interactions for accurate reporting.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in retirement planning.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure the successful delivery and implementation of retirement plans.
  • Presentations & Proposals: Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to potential clients, boards and conference environments.
  • Travel: 25% to 50%.

Key Result Areas:

  • Create, implement and modify (as needed) a strategic business plan.
  • Support market growth and achievement of revenue milestones.
  • Generate new business opportunities through effective prospecting and lead generation.
  • Conduct presentations of Curi RMB Capital's services to referral partner associates across various events.
  • Profile and understand prospective client needs, effectively communicating them to the firm's Retirement Plan Solutions advisory team.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Seven or more years of experience in Retirement Plan or Corporate Benefits sales.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Extra consideration given to those with a natural market or established network/experience working with medical practice executives, manufacturing or non-profit industries.
