Staffmark is partnering with a respected manufacturing company in Monroe, LA, to find a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer. This direct hire position offers a fantastic opportunity to join an established team and contribute to exciting industrial projects that make a real impact.

Salary: $80,000 per year

Schedule: Varies based on project needs (some travel required)

What You'll Do:



  • Design custom mechanical equipment based on customer specifications
  • Perform mechanical and process calculations to determine project parameters
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings for welding, fabrication, machining, and installation
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and accurately
  • Take precise physical measurements to define design requirements
  • Support project needs and assist with additional duties as required



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for projects
  • Strong understanding of fabrication and machining processes
  • Knowledge of industrial equipment design (e.g., conveyor screws, vacuum equipment, bearings, drives/gears)
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying manufacturing tolerances
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
