        | Job Category |  | Operational/Non-ERD |  | Description Job Summary: Operating a self-contained truck with a hydraulic bucket you will perform tree trimming, pruning, removal and clearing of trees and brush supporting vegetation management operations. Duties will include operating the bucket to position correctly performed within the minimum approach distance of energized utility lines and critical infrastructure. Pay:$38.49/hr Duties & Responsibilities: 
 
     
 Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures, work site or traffic lawsDrive truck to and from worksites in adherence to safe practices, procedures, work site, and traffic lawsOperate boom by moving levers and/or depressing pedals to maneuverPerform from a bucket supervised tree trimming, pruning, removal and clearing of trees and brushMust maintain certification and qualification to work within the minimum approach distance of energized power linesPerform tree and job site inspections to identify hazards, disease, risks, or concerns impacting safe climbing operationsPerform safe operations of chainsaws, lifts, chippers, and on highway vehiclesPerform tree identification, growth pattern identification and tree assessmentsIdentify electrical equipment and associated hazards or risksMaintain knowledge of industry best practices for tree trimming, pruning and removalMaintain knowledge and required inspection of climb gear, equipment, and proper utilizationMust pass annual evaluation or certification of work positionMust work well within a team to complete projects and tasksMust be able to work outdoors, year-round in varying environmentsMust be able to work in, around and amongst poisonous plants and noxious vegetationFunction in a strenuous and dangerous work environmentComplete work projects on time and in an effective mannerGrease, oil, and perform minor repairs. Fuel and service equipment as requiredInform and advise management or repair technician for major repairs or maintenancePerform daily inspections and maintenance evaluations/checks on all equipment before and after useUnderstand and perform various daily and weekly assignments from oral or written communication.Keep equipment and work area clean and orderlyAdhere to all company safety standards/policies and applicable OSHA regulationsMaintain effective working relationship with co-workersOther duties may be assigned

 This position is expected to travel to project sites and locations within California (Operating Area)

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme heat and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places and extreme cold. Qualifications Essential Qualifications: 
 
     
 Education: High School Diploma or GED2+ years of bucket truck operating experience within 10 feet of energized electrical power lines with boom length of 75 - 100 feetValid Class A CDL license highly desirableAble to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructionsUse equipment and materials properlyCompetent in required job skills and knowledgeMeet productivity standards, complete work in timely mannerFollow instructions and exhibit sound and accurate judgmentObserve safety and security procedures; use equipment and materials properlyConsistently at work and on timeElectrical Hazard Awareness Program (EHAP) Training
