KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the end-to-end UI design process across Android and web platforms, delivering pixel-perfect, production-ready solutions for clinical environments
- Create adaptive layouts and interactive UI components that accommodate complex workflows across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
- Work hand-in-hand with engineers to maintain design integrity through development, ensuring scalability and system performance
- Drive design strategy in cross-functional teams, aligning visual design with clinical needs, technical feasibility, and business goals
- Conduct and analyze user research, including contextual inquiries and usability testing, to ensure real-world fit for clinical users
- Deliver wireframes, high-fidelity designs, design specs, and clickable prototypes using tools like Figma, Framer, or Adobe XD
- Apply cognitive ergonomics and task analysis to minimize user error and improve efficiency in high-stakes healthcare settings
- Turn usability insights into actionable design iterations, prioritizing changes within agile workflows
- Maintain and evolve a scalable, cross-platform design system and component library
- Ensure compliance with usability engineering standards like IEC 62366-1 and FDA design controls
- Up to 5% travel for field research, validation, and team collaboration
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in UI/UX Design, HCI, Industrial Design, or a related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of professional UI design experience, with a strong focus on web and Android products
- A compelling portfolio showcasing complex UI challenges and multi-screen design systems
- Fluent in Figma, Framer, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
- Experienced in user testing and translating feedback into measurable improvements
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical, clinical, and business teams
- Background designing for regulated environments (medical device, healthcare, pharma) is a significant advantage
- Familiarity with traceability, systems engineering, or requirements management tools is a plus
