As a Process Engineer at Nokia's Allentown, PA facility, you will play a key role in optimizing Opto- Eectronic manufacturing processes. You'll collaborate with a dynamic team focused on advancing our Intelligent Transport Network-enhancing speed, capacity, and scalability in communications. Your responsibilities will include improving yield, conducting root cause analysis, and refining mechanical assembly methods for optical modules. You'll also drive LEAN manufacturing initiatives and support cost-reduction efforts, playing a crucial part in overcoming engineering challenges for released products. - Guide process engineering for complex optical packages, ensuring high-quality production standards.
- Drive end-to-end yield improvements and reduce cycle times through innovative process enhancements.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for production failures, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain work instructions, training programs, and process control metrics for optical module assembly.
- Monitor and report production performance and yield results to the production team and management.
- Champion LEAN manufacturing principles and cost-reduction initiatives across the facility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve engineering challenges for released products.
- Source and develop new equipment to support product launches and capacity expansion efforts.
You have:
- BS or MS in science or engineering
- Strong mechanical and analytical skills
- Detail-oriented with quantitative analysis abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
It would be nice if you also had:
- Experience with JMP for statistical analysis
- Familiarity with Agile and SAP systems
- MRSI Bonder or optical alignment experience
- CAD skills in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo
