Event Coordinator
The Stella Hotel and Ballroom is looking for a part time Event Coordinator to work with our clients in planning events such as luncheons, banquets, weddings, receptions and other types of meetings. As the Event Coordinator on our team, you will complete a variety of tasks which will include:
- Responsible for all contracts by working with clients to understand, identify and organize all event details.
- Offer a personalized style of service for all clients per the hotel's standard operating procedures.
- Promptly respond to all client inquiries.
- Confirm meeting/event/banquet arrangements, menus, event details and complete Banquet Event Orders for each event.
- Distribute Banquet Event Orders to all other hotel departments involved in servicing events and work closely with the Banquet Manager to carry out requirements.
- Ensure all proper billing takes place, including deposits and final payments.
- Determine the possibility of selling additional facilities to produce extra income.
- Additional duties as assigned by the General Manager.
The position is ideal for someone with the following experience and qualities:
- Bachelor's Degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Tourism or other related field preferred.
- Minimum of one to two years of experience as a Hotel Sales Coordinator or Banquet Coordinator.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills and communication.
- Highly efficient and excellent organizational skills.
- Dependability and regular attendance.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
