What You'll Do

Lift materials onto machines, using hand tools or hoists.

Document production numbers and review purchase orders to ensure work meets specifications.

Cut and strip wires, assemble electrical systems, and install components.

Pack finished products for shipment and maintain cleanliness in work areas.

In this Function You Will

Lift material onto machines, manually or with a hoist

Document production numbers on a board at station.

Review purchase orders with manufacturing details, design specifications, and assembly instructions to ensure work is performed according to specifications

Cut and strip wires according to specifications

Assemble electrical or electronic systems or support structures and install components, units, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using pneumatic drills, drivers, rivets, bolts, glue, soldering or micro-welding equipment

Position, align, or adjust work pieces or electrical parts to facilitate wiring or assembly Pack finished assemblies for shipment and place on pick up line for distribution using tape dispenser and safety box cutter

Fabricate, assemble, or disassemble manufactured products by hand

Read testing device to ensure quality of product

Shovel, sweep, or otherwise clean work stations

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.

Remain standing for an extended period of time up to 8 hours

Able to perform with constant movement of the arms

Preferred Skills

Building and Construction- Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools.

Design - Knowledge of tools, drawings, and models.

Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic and its application.

Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses.

Production and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processing, and quality control.

English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

Active Learning - Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.

Active Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Monitoring - Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.

Reading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

Mechanical Skills - Comfortable working with machines and have a good understanding of the machines and how their parts work.

Number Facility - The ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly and correctly.

Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

Finger Dexterity - The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.

Manual Dexterity - The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

Near Vision - The ability to see things at a close distance

Visual Color Discrimination - The ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.
