Job title: Quality Assurance/Site Safety and Health Officer

FLSA status: Exempt

Compensation: $40/hour plus Per Diem

Position Summary

Leisnoi Diversified Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Manager that can also act as a Site Safety Officer (SSO) for contract-specific duties in Caney, Kansas. The successful candidate will support an ongoing EPA remediation of lead-impacted residential yards. This is a remote-work position expected to continue through July 2027.

You'll work directly with the project management team on this project, managing quality and safety at the jobsite and you will act as the primary point-of-contact for onsite personnel.

This QA/SSO position is responsible for managing the daily QA responsibilities of specific projects to ensure the project is administered in accordance with the established standards while enforcing site-specific safety requirements identified in the Health and Safety Plan. The QA/Site Safety will work closely with project managers, superintendents, the client's representative on site, and other key personnel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

As Quality Assurance Manager




  • Prepare daily QA reports.
  • Manage day-to-day field activities to ensure that all project activities are performed in accordance with the site specific project plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.



As Site Safety Officer



  • Supervises project activities conducted under site safety documents during all phases of the work.
  • Responsible for ensuring the health and safety of on-site personnel.
  • Responsible for conducting the daily tailgate safety meetings.


* Completes accident, injury, and illness investigation reports and notifies line management of all job-related illnesses or injuries.

* Coordinates on-site emergency response activities.

* Monitors all personnel performance for compliance with safe work practices.

* Ensures that all documentation necessary for health and safety programs is generated and maintained.

* Periodically inspects protective clothing and equipment.

* Confirms each team member's suitability for work based on a physician's recommendations.

Qualifications

* 3 years of CQM and safety experience involving remediation of contaminated soils on hazardous site remediation projects.

* OSHA 40 HAZWOPER certification and current 8-hour refresher.

* Current Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification.

* Familiar with USACE EM 385-1-1, health and safety plans and safety compliance.

* Knowledge and experience working on Federal Facilities, including EPA and DOD policies and procedures associated with environmental compliance, investigation and remediation.

* Strong competency in both written and oral communication, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences.

* Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

* Must Possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record without restrictions.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard field documentation tools.

* Able to pass a Federal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and HAZWOPER medical exam.

  • Physical Demands



  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Traverse uneven terrain and work in variable outdoor conditions.
  • Able to kneel, stoop, and crouch for extended periods.
  • Must be able to obtain a HAZWOPER medical clearance.
