Reporting to the Vice President of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DIB), this role will be responsible for executing the DIB strategy, primarily as it relates to the Employee Resource Group (ERG) Program. The role will assist in defining and implementing effective best practices that embed diversity, inclusion and belonging (DIB) into the Oxy culture. The candidate will support the VP in serving as a thought partner to the business and HR while serving as a change agent in developing innovative DIB strategies. In partnership with the Vice President of Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging, this role will be responsible for managing DIB programs, processes and practices that create an exceptional employee experience and drive a high performing and inclusive culture. The ideal candidate should be able to use a data driven strategy, combining creativity and insight to foster an inclusive culture that empowers all employees to achieve their full potential, while supporting the organization in achieving its business outcomes. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate on implementing the overall DIB strategy and annual priorities, with specific oversight of the ERG Program
- Manage and deliver high quality, business focused DIB programs and projects in an effective and timely manner and within budget.
- Function as a change agent to execute DIB initiatives and programs through strong partnerships across the organization.
- Research and recommend innovative, business-oriented DIB solutions that align with the overall DIB strategy, fulfill business objectives, and enhance overall business outcomes.
- Serve as a Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DIB) SME to integrate DIB principles into crucial HR disciplines, such as talent acquisition, development, performance management, succession planning, employee engagement and retention, talent policies and practices, compensation, and benefits, as needed.
- Provide oversight and coaching to DIB groups including Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) through effective leadership, programming, and governance.
- Provide oversight and manage enterprise DIB events through partnerships with ERGs, the business, corporate communications, and other key stakeholders.
- Conduct benchmarking and research on best practices and metrics for DIB to monitor and track relevant trends.
- Assist the VP of DIB to establish and maintain metrics to measure the effectiveness of the DIB programs and initiatives, regularly assessing progress and offering recommendations for enhancements, based on the data analyzed.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive portfolio of relationships among local, regional, and national external diversity related organizations to develop strategic partnerships and enhanced networking opportunities.
- Assist the VP of DIB to promote DIB brand to community, industry partners and educational institutions, in collaboration with University Relations.
- Assist with facilitating training and workshops to raise awareness and enhance understanding of DIB, fostering a more inclusive and culturally competent workforce.
- Assist with developing and facilitating comprehensive DIB training, public curriculum, and leader- requested training.
- Keep up to date with industry standards, emerging trends, and legal obligations concerning diversity, equity, and inclusion, integrating them into Oxy's policies and procedures.
- Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring and direction of work to DIB ERG Analyst.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant DEI experience or equivalent HR experience
- Project management experience, including projects requiring cross-functional team alignment and enterprise-wide alignment.
- Experience in overseeing Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and comprehending their intricacies.
- Current knowledge and understanding of DEI best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated management experience.
- Project Management experience with a demonstrated ability to multi-task
- Strong change in management capability
- Proven track record of effectively facilitating enterprise-wide training programs for employees and leaders.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Skilled in interacting with and building relationships across the organization at all levels.
- Ability to use good judgment to solve problems, make decisions, and involve others, as needed, at the appropriate time.
- Ability to thrive in an environment of ambiguity, evolution, and change.

- Good analytical and research skills
- High proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel and Sharepoint
- Ability to travel, as needed l (15%)
Education, Training & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Master's preferred
- Relevant DEI Certification preferred.
