A genetic counseling assistant (GCA) works closely with and under the supervision of genetic counselors (GCs) who serve patients who have or are at risk for inherited diseases. The GCA in this position would support our current team of seven pediatric genetic counselors alongside another GCA colleague, and would work with GCs, medical geneticists, and additional team members.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. Preference given to individuals who have completed a GCA training course. Experience: Experience: Two years of administrative experience. Licensure: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers but can require the carrying of multiple testing kits across the hospital campus.
