DESCRIPTION

The UC San Diego Health system is growing! We are actively recruiting family practice and internal medicine physicians for our Ambulatory Express Care clinics. Express Care is a walk-in option for coughs, colds, sore throats, ear infections, simple fractures or sprains, and other minor health care needs. We also offer wellness services, including screenings for certain prescriptions and camp/school screenings.

This position will be stationed at Chancellor Park (La Jolla area), although may cover at multiple locations throughout the County, including Encinitas, Pacific Highlands Ranch, Rancho Bernardo, Eastlake, Vista, and Downtown San Diego.

Physician must adjust work schedule to meet need for services and work the amount of time necessary to perform the duties assigned.

This position does not include an academic appointment through the School of Medicine.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Current California Medical License, or ability and commitment to obtain CA license prior to start date
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in an outpatient setting
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent Care
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Urgent Care, Express Care, or Emergency Department setting
