CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Project Controls Specialist to join our Commercial & Institutional - MEP Team at our Albany, NY office.



YOUR IMPACT

CHA creates state-of-the-art mechanical systems that prioritize energy efficiency without sacrificing strength or ramping up costs. Our technical professionals have valuable hands-on experience as plant managers and engineers in industrial settings so we can create solutions for complex facilities including complete mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering, and design/construction services.

The Project Controls Specialist plays a critical role in establishing and implementing project control strategies and processes including managing and overseeing the scope, schedule, and cost of projects. The professional in this role ensures internal and external processes along with company policies are communicated, understood, and followed. The Project Controls Specialist supports construction project managers, engineers, and project administrators in the creation, reporting, and completion of project deliverables.

Additionally, this individual is responsible for the maintenance, implementation, and guidance of the library of templates for contracts, specifications, and project control documents. The Project Controls Specialist must stay updated on construction industry trends and changes and provide guidance and training to project teams on contract management best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

    Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or a related field is required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project controls, project management, or a related role
  • Experience working with and customizing AIA, EJCDC, and MasterSpec Technical Specifications and contract documents
  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions based on the data
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Superior organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement requirements, and related regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office & ERP Systems (i.e. Deltek)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • CSI Certifications (CDT, CCS, CCCA etc.), CMAA, PMP, or other technical certifications preferred


SALARY RANGE:

$75,000 - $85,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
