| Description QualificationsThere is an opening for a Quality Assurance Technician (s) working in the Quality Assurance Department based in Irvine, however from time to time may be assigned to the Corry/Warren plants. This position is non-exempt salary (overtime for over 40 hours/week). The starting wage is dependent on level of experience, knowledge, skills and education. The position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: 
  
 Preparation of product for nondestructive testing and post-test cleaningPerformance of Ultrasonic, Visual, Magnetic Particle, and Liquid Penetrant TestingPerformance of Hardness TestingPerformance of metallographic and related laboratory testingPerformance of dimensional product inspection including CMM based methodsPreparation of test reports suitable for customer reviewMaintenance of records of equipment calibration and testing material certificationPerformance of testing and inspection equipment calibrationsTraining of others in destructive and nondestructive test methods and dimensional inspection methodsAccompany and assist customer auditorsPeriodic travel to subcontractor or customer locations may be requiredRegular attendance as scheduled is an essential function.
 
  
 This opportunity may require working altered shifts to support production and there will be times when overtime work will be mandatory.
 Minimum Qualifications  
  
 High School diploma or equivalentProblem solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, and good interpersonal skillsAbility to work well with a team, while also working independently; self-motivatedDetail oriented with demonstrated work history recordGood organizational skills, able to think on their own, takes initiative while multi-tasking
 Preferred Qualifications: 
  
 Certificate or Associates Degree in Nondestructive Testing, Metallurgical Fields, or Quality AssurancePrior relevant Nondestructive testing experience and skills, including UT, MT, PT, VTPrior Hardness Testing experience using Brinell, Shore, Rockwell, Vickers and Leeb based equipmentPrior Mechanical Testing experience and skillsFamiliarity with the nondestructive testing requirements for Ellwood National Forge productsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and EGI Connect/SharepointPrior experience in Quality Assurance field
